Life Is Like A Baseball Game!

My son Garrett recently made an analogy comparing life to baseball. He said that the ball is like Satan who is throwing trials and temptations at us. When we just stand there, the ball will just keep hitting us in the head. Garrett went on to say that Jesus is like the bat and the only way that we can hit those balls is by letting Jesus hit them for us. You see, when we do nothing, Satan will continue to hit us in the head with a hard baseball. It is only when we allow Jesus to fight our battles for us that we can have victory over Satan. Garrett added that the only way that we can make it to home plate is by accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Home plate being Heaven. It is my desire that anyone reading this post accept Jesus Christ as your own Lord and Savior, so that you can one day hit that eternal home run! Play ball!

Ephesians 6:10-17 "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows (or baseballs) of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God."
